Saab’s 9-3, more than ever, is the cornerstone of the GM-owned Swedish company’s Australian presence. An almost bewildering range of models, plus three body styles – sedan, convertible and wagon - spring from one platform. The worthy 9-3 has a generally classy air, excellent dynamics and a wide range of engines. The convertible continues to be a 9-3 mainstay, with the base Linear ragtop using the 129kW/265Nm two-litre engine with optional five-speed auto or a six-speed manual transmission.
