The Scenic is almost an MPV even if it only carries five passengers. The generally upright shape makes the most of the Renault’s packaging, providing space aplenty for passengers and luggage in a bright and airy interior. Clever features include under-floor storage compartments, trays under front and rear seats, a movable centre console, three sliding rear seats and trays behind the front seats. Power is supplied by the familiar 98kW/191Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder and transmissions include a six-speed manual or a four-speed auto. Six airbags, ABS, cruise control, trip computer, air-conditioning and six-speaker CD are standard.
