Renault’s Megane cabriolet was a relatively early adopter of the coupe-convertible concept, managing to remain stylish in a genre where the inherent design challenges mean that’s not always easy. The Megane’s roof is unique too: it’s mainly glass. The cabrio comes in Dynamique form only, powered by the familiar 98kW/191Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine driving either six-speed manual, or four-speed Proactive automatic transmission. The comprehensive equipment list includes stability control, front and front side airbags, pop-up roll bars behind the rear seats, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic air-conditioning, 16-inch alloys, leather trim, trip computer and four-speaker, six-CD audio.
