The latest generation Renault Laguna III came in mid 2008, expanding the range to both hatch and wagon versions but, initially, only with turbodiesel power. The handsome, Ford Mondeo-size Laguna is now wider, longer and taller and offers a big, comfy interior as well as the quiet, smooth ride that is the usual province of French cars. The 2.0-litre turbodiesel produces 110kW and 340Nm, driving through a six-speed auto transmission. In base Expression form, the Laguna III comes with stability control, eight airbags, 16-inch alloys, an automatic parking brake, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control and four-speaker CD audio.
