Beautiful coupes are not new to Peugeot’s repertoire. Today’s 407 version proudly carries the heritage with flowing, balanced lines and a sumptuous interior. The current coupe came to Australia in March 2006 with the choice of 155kW/290Nm petrol or diesel V6 power, manual or auto six-speed transmission, and an entirely swanky interior replete with all the accoutrements you’d expect of a Peugeot costing up to $70,000-plus. No surprise that front, side, curtain and knee airbags are standard, nor that equipment includes stability and traction control, cruise control, parking sensors, six-speaker, six-CD Blaupunkt/JBL sound system, 18-inch alloys and active b-Xenon lights.
