The five-door Peugeot 308 followed the 307 in early 2008, bringing a return to Peugeot’s legendary balance between ride and handling, a focus on fuel economy and a big, comfortable interior. And unmistakable, in-your-face styling. The range includes five petrol and diesel engine variants and three trim levels: XS, XSE and XTE. The thrifty but punchy 1.6-litre XS turbodiesel uses an 80kW, 240Nm engine driving through six-speed manual or six-speed EGC transmission. Equipment otherwise includes all the regular XSE gear - stability control, rear parking sensors and 16-inch alloys.
