The Hummer is, to paraphrase Saddam Hussein, the mother of all 4WDs. This big, brutal off-roader apologises for nothing except that it’s not quite as big and brutal as you might think when compared to other heavy-duty 4WDs. As you’d imagine it’s more at home off road than in the burbs. The dual-range 4WD Hummer offers a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto and is powered by a 180kW/328Nm 3.7-litre five-cylinder engine. The top of the tree Luxury Hummer has auto transmission as standard and gets all the Adventure’s luxury gear, but lacks its specialist off-road equipment.
