The A4 is Audi’s volume seller, going head-to-head with BMW’s 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It differs in two major ways: it is widely front-wheel drive, and is the only car in its class to offer all-wheel drive. The current A4 arrived her in April 2008 with a bogger cabin, more refinement, improved handling and extra standard equipment. Engine choices include a 1.8-litre turbo four-cylinder, three turbodiesels - two-litre four-cylinder, 2.7-litre and 3.0-litre V6 - and a quattro 3.2-litre petrol V6 with six-speed tiptronic transmission. The latter winds out 195kW/330Nm for a road-grabbing, scintillating drive experience backed by plenty of luxury.
