The A4 is Audi’s volume seller, going head-to-head with BMW’s 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It differs in two major ways: it is widely front-wheel drive, and is the only car in its class to offer all-wheel drive. The current A4 arrived here in April 2008 with a bogger cabin, more refinement, improved handling and extra standard equipment. Engine choices include petrol four-cylinder turbo and V6, and three turbodiesels - one four-cylinder and two V6s. The smaller, multitronic-only 2.7-litre turbodiesel V6 develops 140kW/400Nm for smooth, rapid performance and impressive 7.7L/100km fuel economy.
